Tea research and education

Representing a variety of European universities and their researchers, but also practitioners with decades of experience, the ETCI focuses mainly on applied sciences, and joint activities, broadening the horizons of tea related research and education.

The research projects, calls for publications, trainings, and events are open for all academics, researchers, PhD students, but also for practitioners for joint projects focusing on tea cultures of Europe, water, and comparative studies. Developing a European tea curriculum is one project as well as analysing paring options and signature products.

The ETCI is closely cooperating with culinary institutes and schools in order to enrich the scientific world with knowledge, insides and results about tea and related aspects.

Dr. Irena Weber, Dr. Henrik Scander and Belinda Davenport are mainly in charge for research related inquiries.
