The ETCI aims to found a professional network of tea enthusiasts, lecturers, researchers and practitioners. Following this approach, the Tea Festivals in Europe, e.g., in Berlin, Prague or Vienna, are tea-related events to share the knowledge, but also to analyse the visitors regarding their intentions.
In addition, the tea plantations in Europe and their impact on tourism are relevant for the institute’s projects. In addition, the creation of a cultural route focused on tea is ne of the main projects.
Once a year, the European Tea Culture Institute is organising its own conference: The European Tea Culture Conference 2025.

In addition, tea-related attractions, such as museums or tea routes, are important for the link between tea and tourism, local heritage, art, but also for entrepreneurship and the local economy.
The ETCI aims to combine these elements, researching and exploring a culturally based, but also business-oriented perspective on tea.
